To keep the initial download small, MakoRevive downloads its AI models the first time you open the app. Once those models are on your device, the app works entirely offline, so you can restore photos anywhere, with no connection required.
Restoring or colorizing a photo is computationally intensive, so the app recommends Android 12 or higher. When you process an image, your device's processor works at or near full capacity for the duration of that task, so it's normal for your phone to become warm or to slow down briefly. This is similar to extended gaming or video editing. This isn't a sign that MakoRevive or your device is malfunctioning, and your device's built-in thermal safeguards handle it automatically.
