Byways Media Hub is an offline portable media powerhouse: video, photos & music, no cloud needed. It plays straight from your SD card, USB drive, or internal storage, no internet connection required, no account, no forced cloud storage.

Use Android's built-in file picker to import from what's already on your device. Byways sorts it into TV shows and movies by folder, photo albums, and music by artist or album.
Playback picks up right where you left off. Episode tracking means you never lose your place in a show, even weeks later.
Your library lives in a private, on-device database. The video, photo, and audio files you play never get uploaded anywhere.
Videos — resume-watching & episode tracking
Photos — album grid & fullscreen slideshow
Audio — plays straight from local folders
Music album art comes automatically, no setup needed. TV and movie posters and synopses use a free API key of your own, entered once in Settings. Only the folder or show name is ever sent, and only over Wi-Fi, never mobile data. Skip the key, or turn Wi-Fi off, and the app works exactly the same, just without posters and synopses for video.
"Plug in your drive, point the app at it, and it's all there, no matter where you are."
Byways Media Hub is built for people with drives full of personal media: home videos, a photo dump from an old phone, a music collection. Bring your phone and an SD card or USB drive on a flight, a cruise, or anywhere the Wi-Fi is spotty or non-existent, and everything you loaded on before you left is still there. It's a direct extension of the studio's mission statement.
